Due to increasing stock-outs by Jeep, we are no longer offering a rear wiper option on the JK J30. The rear window will include the mounting hardware, and pass through for the wiper shaft should a customer want to retrofit a wiper later.
Background
The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited production ran from 2007 to 2018, with an overlap between the 2018 JL version and JK version only for 2018. Ursa Minor offered a stock wiper option for the JK from 2011 to 2023, allowing full use of stock hard top functions on on the rear glass, including defrost, cleaner and wiper. This option used a number of components available from Jeep, including a wiper harness internal to the Jeep hard top, and various special bolts to secure the motor.
Customer have always had the option to reuse the glass, or just the wiper parts, from an OEM top but would always need to purchase the internal harness as removal requires cutting open the internal skin of the OEM hard top. Customer can continue swapping parts, or may be able to find the parts through Jeep dealers or Jeep parts websites. Some JL parts will work on JK Jeeps, but not all those for the wiper system.
Ursa Minor found that maintaining a predictable supply of parts at consistent prices no longer worked with a standardized option price and shorter lead times. We can source the parts on a custom basis, including finding NOS or used parts, but price will be quoted on request.
To retro fit a wiper to an Ursa Minor JK J30, either earlier versions or current production can be done, the exact harness needed will depend on production version due to the length of harness.
